A Sunday Afternoon by the dikes

It was an unusually warm day for February but it was still nippy. I walked down by Bountiful Pond, just west of it on a trail that lead back around ending on the dikes. It was cold enough that I saw very little wildlife. But I loved seeing this boat tied up in the afternoon sun. I love the winter sun and how it highlights the grasses and throws long shadows. This too is a little piece of Heaven.

Kesler Falcons

I really love Kesler Falcons. These pictures were taken at the Farmington Bay Bird Refuge just the other day. This guy knew I was there and kept flying just a little further away, when I would sneak up, he would fly a little further. I did get some pictures though.

Winter at Antelope Island

Winter at Antelope Island is still a lot of fun. There is still a lot to see, hawks, falcons, buffalo, deer, and this time, a coyote. This guy was hard to spot. He blended right in with everything else. He is a ways off so the picture is not as clear as I like, but I am not complaining. I saw a coyote.

Cold Winter Months

As the cold of winter creeps in it would be easy to just settle down indoors. But you would miss some of God's greatest landscapes.
